Retina Vasculitis, Leprosy
A 56-year-old man referred to the BPEI for intermediate uveitis and retinal vasculitis. Examination revealed 20/25 vision in both eyes and trace vitreous cells in both eyes. Ocular coherence tomography showed no macular edema. Fluorescein angiogram showed retinal vasculitis in both eyes. Patient laboratory work up was negative. He had a skin rash that was biopsied by his Dermatologist which revealed Leprosy. The patient was put on multi drug therapy and adalimumab. After 3-month follow up, his vision improved to 20/20 in both eyes and his retinal vasculitis on angiogram improved significantly.
