- AbstractA 75-year-old-man presented to Bascom Palmer Eye Institute for a second opinion following a mechanical fall with trauma sustained to the right eye, resulting in a ruptured globe one month prior. Examination revealed 20/LP vision, no APD, normal IOP, and full extra ocular movements. The anterior segment exam was unremarkable, but the posterior view was obstructed by heme on the posterior lens surface. B-scan ultrasound revealed a macula-off retinal detachment, 360-degree choroidal, and vitreous opacities. A choroidal drain, lensectomy, and retinal detachment repair was performed with good anatomic outcome and visual acuity of 2/200 at six-month follow-up.Presentation Date: 09/26/2019Issue Date: 08/01/2020
