Description
A patient with neuroretinitis and focal chorioretinitis, being treated with antibiotics for presumed ocular toxoplasmosis, developed a dense vitreous hemorrhage during her treatment course. Vitrectomy was then performed. Intraoperative undilute cultures were taken and a biopsy of the chorioretinal lesion was performed. Cultures and pathology were unrevealing, but the patient improved on treatment for toxoplasmosis.
