Grand Rounds
A 32-year-old female patient with bilateral chemical ocular burn. On ocular examination revealed 20/300 and 20.400 vision, with bilateral limbal ischemia and corneal epithelial defect, treated with saline solution irrigation and multiple amniotic membranes. Patient developed total limbal stem cell deficiency underwent cadaveric simple limbal stem cell transplant on the left eye with prior tacrolimus immunosuppression then we repeated limbal stem cell transplant from her mother due to recurrent corneal conjuntivalization. Six months after surgery the patient vision is 20/40 with CL.
