Abstract
A healthy patient with prior history of LASIK OU presents with acute-onset decreased vision and eye pain in the left eye. On presentation, patient’s exam was notable for visual acuity of 20/20 in the right eye and 20/60 in the left eye. Intraocular pressure was 11 and 15 in the right and left eyes, respectively. Slit lamp exam was remarkable for a multifocal infiltrate along the LASIK flap in the left eye. Fundus exam was unremarkable. Corneal culture was obtained which revealed Staphylococcus Aureus sensitive to vancomycin. Patient improved on topical fortified antibiotics with return of visual acuity to 20/20 in the left eye before being lost to follow-up.
