Multifocal Uveal Melanoma in Setting of Oculodermal Melanocytosis
A healthy young patient with prior history of myopia OU presents with sudden-onset decreased vision in the right eye. On presentation, patient’s exam was notable for visual acuity of HM in the right eye and 20/20 in the left eye. Intraocular pressure was 12 and 11 in the right and left eye, respectively. Slit lamp exam was remarkable for episcleral melanocytosis and iris mammillations. Fundus exam was notable for large pigmented elevation of the inferior retina in the right eye. Imaging was performed including B-scan ultrasound and CT of the brain, chest, abdomen, and pelvis. Imaging revealed multiple choroidal lesions consistent with multifocal uveal melanoma. Enucleation and FNAB were performed.
