Grand Rounds
A patient presented to Bascom Palmer Emergency Room for vitreous hemorrhage in left eye. Patient subsequently underwent multiple sessions of panretinal photocoagulation followed by one injection in each eye. The patient was followed for six months and then lost to follow-up. Patient was referred to Bascom Palmer after refilling a glasses prescription seven years later. Patient still with inactive proliferative diabetic retinopathy and an unchanged visual acuity. Patient currently has stretch holes and a shallow retinal detachment inferiorly however given sharp visual acuity and chronicity, continues to be monitored.
