Description
This patient presented with malignant glaucoma, IOP of 50, HM vision and an IOL touching the cornea after glaucoma drainage device placement. 25 g core vitrectomy and depressed shave was performed to decompress. Viscoelastic was placed in the anterior
chamber to deepen. Vitrectomy is performed with a transzonular approach from an anterior to posterior and posterior to anterior direction to create passage for aqueous flow. A peripheral iridotomy is also done. Viscoelastic is left in the anterior
chamber to maintain depth in the post-operative period. IOP was reduced to 9 and vision improved to 20/100.
