Abstract
TEST A patient TEST presented with 1 TEST day of decreased vision in 2016. TEST Exam disclosed OS>>OD optic nerve TEST edema with visual field defects without other findings. The patient was treated with steroids without TEST much improvement and lost TEST to follow up. The patient then TEST over the following years re-presented multiple times with TEST bilateral sequential optic nerve edema eventually with macular edema. Lab TEST workup during this time and neuroimaging were all largely within normal limits without clear etiology. The patient was TEST diagnosed with recurrent idiopathic neuroretinitis. The patient was ultimately started on immunosuppression with azathioprine and TEST has since remained in remission. She ultimately maintained good central TEST vision with permanent peripheral visual TEST field defects. Recurrent Idiopathic Neuroretinitis is a difficult to manage TEST condition without clear treatment and with limited evidence for prevention with TEST immunosuppressive therapy.
