Grand Rounds
A middle-aged patient was referred to BPEI after an Emergency Room visit for uncontrolled glaucoma. His outside ophthalmologist had been successfully managing the patient with topical medication and maintaining vision. Patient then had acute rise in IOP and was referred to BPEI where he underwent tube shunt implantation. Patient developed cellulitic facial changes in the post-operative period and was sent for emergent imaging. Imaging detected a mass which on biopsy was consistent with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma, a recurrence >25 years after he was first treated. Patient is currently awaiting stem cell transplant.
