Abstract
An 19-year-old woman presented with decreased vision in the right eye and was found to have a retinal detachment. She had a history of retinopathy of prematurity as an infant and had been treated with laser photocoagulation. Treatment for retinopathy
of prematurity in the current environment has been changed by the introduction of anti-VEGF therapy and this modality often results in less myopia progression than laser. The patient was treated with scleral buckle and pars plana vitrectomy and had
anatomical reattachment with a successful postoperative course.
