Abstract
A 74-year-old male presented to the BPEI ER with blurred vision in the right eye for 3 days. He underwent cataract surgery in both eyes 9 years prior in Costa Rica. He denied any other prior ocular history or trauma. Exam revealed VA 20/200+1 in the right
eye. IOP was within normal limits. Pupil exam was normal. Anterior segment exam of the right eye revealed a 1-piece IOL which was dislocated inferiorly and out of the bag, which was noted to have a large posterior capsular rent. Posterior segment
exam was unremarkable. He underwent removal of the IOL and a 3-piece IOL was placed in the sulcus.
