Grand Rounds
A patient presents with recent blurry vision OS. VA 20/200 OD and 20/25 OS. Exam significant for macular scar OD and macular edema OS. Imaging workup significant for OCT showing intra-retinal fluid and VMT OS, SS-OCTA OS showed CNV. Patient started on Aflibercept injections but after multiple injections macular fluid was persistent. VMT was considered to be the reason for poor answer to anti-VEGF. Macular fluid responded to more frequent injections. In one of the follow up visits, patient asked to stop latanoprost that he was using for glaucoma. Dramatic decrease in CME was seen and visual acuity increased. OCT macula in follow up visit showed continued improvement.
