Abstract
A patient was referred to Bascom Palmer Eye Institute for evaluation due to new onset blurry vision and a dark inferotemporal lesion extending out of the right eye for one month. Her ocular and surgical history includes non-exudative age-related macular degeneration and pseudophakia in both eyes, with no history of cancer. Imaging was performed including ultrasound revealing a ciliochoroidal elevated mass like lesion. She was diagnosed with a ciliochoroidal melanoma, mixed cell type with extension into the anterior chamber and iris and anterior extrascleral extension with underlying ocular melanocytosis. The patient required an enucleation due to the large tumor size and extraocular extension.
