Abstract
A patient with history of contact lens wear and topical prednisolone use presented to the Bascom Palmer emergency room with a painful left eye. Examination showed a large corneal infiltrate and cultures were positive for Fusarium. Despite treatment with natamycin, she developed a worsening hypopyon, deep infiltrate and fungal ball. She underwent a therapeutic penetrating keratoplasty. Post-operatively, there was no evidence of re-infection.
